The kanamo peak Trek-Best Trek in Himachal
Known as the “Whie Lady” peak, this trek is an exciting trek to the Himalayas. This trek is considered as a difficult trek and requires good level of fitness and a few high-altitude treks done by trekkers. We would recommend this trek to people who are looking for a high altitude trek in low budget. Being a difficult trek, a person does not need to have mountaineering technical skills as this peak is easy to climb once you are adjusted to the climate and conditions. It is one of the ideal ways to enjoy a good experience of trekking in India. Chandratal and camping by the water body adds to the amazing experience of trekking to Kanamo Peak.
Trekking starts from our base camp at Kibber to Kanamo Base Camp. This trail consists of a steep as well as a gradual climb. You will be crossing a tiny lake on the way which is the source of water to Kaza town. Next day we move forward from Kanamo Base Camp towards Kanamo Peak Summit. The climb starts from start to the top of a 6,000m peak crossing the 2 shoulders in the mountain followed by an ascending trek to the ridge. You will be delighted at the summit with beautiful sights like Parang La Pass that leads to Ladakh, Pin Parvati Pass that leads to Kullu Valley, Kinnaur ranges, Lahaul and Spiti together with the stunning valleys. The views from the top are breathtaking. There is a huge glacier at the back side of the peak which is like the best reward for the tough climb. After enjoying the summit, we get back to our base camp.
